Our Habitat Global Village Team

Rabinal, Guatemala – 2016. The Habitat Global Village team was made up of nine members all from Edmonton, Alberta. Most of the team had been on at least one Global Village build so knew what to do and many of the team also volunteer with Habitat Edmonton on a regular basis so knew each other before going on this build. Our Habitat Guatemala coordinator was Fredy Perez and he did a wonderful job keeping us focused on the work that needed to be done but more importantly was a great guide on our various excursions. He knows a great deal about Guatemala and its history. He lives in San Juan la Laguna which is on Lake Atitlan and has a small coffee plantation there. He grows, processes and roasts his coffee that is certified organic. We all bought some from him and it is very good coffee.
